Chris grew up in Pensacola and is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida. He served seven years in the U.S. Army and is a combat veteran. Chris is the husband of Pastor Ashley Wilkinson Meyer and the proud father of daughter Emma and son Booker. He is currently the Board Chair of the Cokesbury Children’s Center and serves on the Board of the B.T. Washington High School Quarterback Club.
Chris is proud to have played QB on the 1994 Florida High School State Championship Football Team from B.T. Washington High School. His involvement in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) played a big part of the team’s success on their championship run. He remains engaged with FCA and is always looking to help local ministries involving the youth of Pensacola.
After Chris spent a year deployed with the 4th Infantry Division in Iraq, and Ashley spent 17 months as a missionary in Israel/Palestine, the two got engaged Christmas night of 2006. Chris and Ashley married on July 7, 2007. Emma was born in April of 2015 and Booker was born in November of 2016. As the family is growing together in Christ they remain close to their roots in Pensacola.
