“Fusion” — A Ministry for Youth
Youth come together on Sunday nights to experience a time of worship, fellowship, and teachings of God’s Word. Here, we hope to bring youth from all over, in different journeys of life, to a place that they feel welcomed, loved, and accepted….a place where they can “Fuse” with Jesus Christ and His Kingdom, and experience all that He has to offer. The youth (6th – 12th grade) gather for “Fusion” on Sunday nights from 5:30 until 7:30 pm in the Youth Lounge at Cokesbury’s Summit Campus.
Going Deeper meets in the 9th Avenue youth lounge – Rm. 401 every Wednesday night during the school year, 6:30-7:30pm. All youth age students, grades 6-12, are invited to attend. Each week we dive deeper into the Bible and our faith. We explore the Bible stories we learned as children on a deeper level and discuss their true meaning and how they relate to our lives. Going Deeper is a casual Wednesday night group meeting for awesome youth.
Each year Cokebury Youth participate in missions in our community and surrounding states.
Because we believe that Jesus taught us to care for His children and youth, we commit Cokesbury to the practice of safe supervision. Our Safe Sanctuary policy sets standards for the supervision of the children, youth, and vulnerable adults in our care. Thus, in covenant with all United Methodist congregations, we adopt policies for the prevention of neglect and abuse. Therefore, as Christian communities of faith and United Methodist congregations, we pledge to conduct the ministry of the gospel in ways that assure the safety and spiritual growth of all children, youth, and vulnerable adults and those who minister to them.
