Lacy McShane brings many years of experience and training in the field of education to the board. She has spent much of her life devoted to working with children. After spending 10 years in the classroom teaching elementary students, she decided to stay at home full time when her oldest was born. Over the past 9 years, she’s gradually been making her way back into education by teaching/subbing for St. Luke UMC preschool, providing one-on-one tutoring for students after school, and subbing with Escambia County schools. Recently she’s started working with the home-school community by providing yearly evaluations for home-school students. She holds a BS in elementary education from Birmingham-Southern College and has a Florida teaching license. Past teaching assignments include teaching in Alabama, Michigan, Virginia, and Florida. On a personal note, Lacy is a longtime Pensacolian. She is a wife and mother of two active girls. She is looking forward to continuing to work and support the children and staff of Cokesbury Children’s
