
Rev. Bobby Ellisor is the son, grandson, and great grandson of Methodist ministers. He was raised in Mobile, Alabama.
Prior to his appointment as the new pastor of Cokesbury, Rev. Ellisor served as Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Brewton, Al., after having served as Pastor of the Gadsden Street United Methodist church in Pensacola, Fl. He has also served as Senior Pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach, Fl.; Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, Fl.; and First United Methodist Church in Defuniak Springs, Florida where he was the recipient of the Annual Conference Denman Evangelism Award.
Rev. Ellisor has also served the Alabama/West Florida Annual Conference on both the district and conference levels. In the last several years, he has been a member of the Pensacola District Committee on Ministry. Prior to that, Bobby served as Chairperson of the Conference Board of Worship and Evangelism for 4 years. Most recently, he served on the Board of Trustees for the Bay Pines district.
Bobby graduated from Troy State University, where he double majored in both Psychology and Sociology. Following his undergraduate work, he attended and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. He hopes to begin work on his doctorate in the future.
Rev. Ellisor is married to Faith and they have 3 sons – Justin, Taylor, and Matthew. They have 2 grandsons, Colby and Liam. In his spare time, Rev. Ellisor enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
