Our culture is one that's all about Jesus

In Cokesbury Student Ministry, we go deeper into what it means to be His followers. We’re ready to move beyond the basics — we want to help students answer the question, “What’s next?” We want them to grow in their faith, take ownership of their relationships with Jesus, and honor God with their lives.

Along with our awesome Sunday morning 9:30 AM worship, we have Youth on Sunday nights in The Loft and amazing special events throughout the year. We’ll have a lot of fun because Jesus isn’t boring. Everything about Him is incredibly exciting. And so is life in Cokesbury Youth.

Regularly Scheduled Cokesbury Student Weekly Activities

If you are new to our church and our Cokesbury Student Ministry, we want you to see the kinds of activities we enjoy during more normal times. These activities have been modified for now, but they give you an idea of our ministry on a yearly basis. We hope to begin these activities again after the virus subsides.

Youth

Youth come together on Sunday nights to experience a time of worship, fellowship, and teachings of God’s Word. Here, we hope to bring youth from all over, in different journeys of life, to a place where they feel welcomed, loved, and accepted. The Loft (newly renovated in 2020) is located upstairs and is a place where they can be themselves, create lasting friendships with each other and with Jesus Christ, and experience all that He has to offer. The youth (6th – 12th grade) gather for Youth on Sunday nights from 5-7PM in The Loft on Cokesbury’s Campus.

Want to take a tour of The Loft? We've got you!

Going Deeper

Going Deeper meets in The Loft every Wednesday night during the school year, 5:45-7:PM. All youth age students, grades 6-12, are invited to attend. Our vision for Going Deeper is that students would be made new through God’s Word and be connected to other believers. Each week we dive deeper into the Bible and our faith. We explore the Bible stories we learned as children on a deeper level and discuss their true meaning and how they relate to our lives.

Because we believe that Jesus taught us to care for His children and youth, safe supervision is a top priority for Cokesbury. Our Safe Campus (Safe Sanctuary) policy sets standards for the supervision of the children, youth, and vulnerable adults in our care. As we align ourselves with all United Methodist congregations, we adopt policies for the prevention of neglect and abuse. As Christian communities of faith and United Methodist congregations, we have committed our leaders and volunteers to practice safety and spiritual growth of all children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
